This year-end wrap reflects on a busy 2025 filled with meaningful projects, including a standout trip to New York with a memorable visit to NBC Studios, rewarding RNIB recordings of Dickens classics, and hands-on work with the next generation at the National Construction College. It also highlights support work with the Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority, new Odeon trailer voice overs, and a fresh collaboration with Warehouse Digital. 2025: A Year of Voice, Vision and Vibrant Stories

As another fast-moving year draws to a close, I always find December to be a slightly shorter month — deadlines tighten, projects compress, and the inbox seems to accelerate. This year, a brilliant (and much-needed) trip to New York added to the date drought, but it also added some unforgettable moments.

A New York Highlight: NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller

New York in December is a sensory overload at the best of times, but my standout moment wasn’t the lights, the tree or the bustle — it was stepping inside the historic NBC studios at 30 Rockefeller. As someone who has worked with media and storytelling for decades, standing in the birthplace of so much broadcast history was a genuine pinch-me moment.

RNIB: Dickens, A Christmas Carol & Meaningful Work

One of my true professional highlights this year has been my ongoing work with the RNIB. I was thrilled to record abridged versions of Dickens’ classics, including A Christmas Carol. Hearing that partner users have responded so positively is incredibly rewarding. It’s always a privilege to contribute to accessible storytelling, and supporting this cause continues to mean a great deal to me. New work for English Heritage in the Summer plus some MC duties volunteered to Ipswich East branch of The Samaritans for their first ball.

Building the Next Generation: National Construction College

2025 also included two highly enjoyable trips to the National Construction College in Norfolk. I voiced and collaborated on two new trade videos — hard-hat photos to come! It’s energising to work alongside the next generation of construction professionals, and NCC continues to be a client I value greatly.

Supporting Local Growth: Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority

My work with the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority saw me out on the road meeting local businesses and spending time with the dedicated team of business support advisers. They are, without doubt, true friends to their business communities. It’s inspiring to see such committed people helping enterprises move forward.

In the Booth: Odeon & New Creative Partnerships

November brought two new Odeon trailer voiceovers are always fun, always exciting, and still a thrill to hear them in the wild.

December also introduced a new collaboration with Ipswich-based Warehouse Digital. Together we created voice work for an in-house staff video for one of their clients my first project with them and, hopefully, the first of many.

Looking Ahead

2025 has been a year of travel, teamwork and meaningful partnerships. From Dickens to hard hats, from business growth to big-screen trailers, each project has added something rewarding to the year.

Looking into 2026, I know it won’t be without its challenges. With one contract coming to an end, I’ll need to widen my lead pool, seek out new clients and ideally resist the familiar urge to stress about where the next job is coming from. But truthfully, I’ve had these feelings in every chapter of my working life. It almost feels like a New Year tradition at this point: a mix of determination, uncertainty and a quiet belief that things will come together with hard work and persistence.

Whatever the year brings, I hope Christmas and the New Year are kind to you, and that 2026 offers all of us fresh opportunities to grow, create and keep moving forward.

Merry Christmas.
